Basic Business Goals

The best made plans dont ever work if you dont follow through, I am one who has always believed in making lists for myself of to dos, goals, financial issues, etc. The first item I place on my list is ..... 1. Make a list. This way if i get nothing else done I can cross off at least one thing off my list so I cant tell myself that I did nothing that day. As far as goals go I like to prioritize my goals for example, 1. Create my product or inventory. 2.Advertise and market. 3. Get customers 4. .... and so and so on. I also like goals like immediate ones like the ones I just mentioned as well as intermediate goals such as 1 yr growth, 5 yr growth, and long term goals. I make my goals realistic and attainable while remaining challenging and allowing for growth. Setting up long term marketing plans is essential in maintaining public awareness. If i advertise today its not so much for the instant gratification but for 6 months or a year from now. The longer my name is out there the longer my customers will remember my business.

The Beginning.....

Well here we go with the first post. I think for this post I want to layout what I intend to accomplish with this Blog. I hope to be able to inspire others to utilize their god given talents and find the finer things in life. Through my 44 years I have been blessed with many experiences (Good and Bad) and have taken lessons from each one. One mantra I live by is be true to yourself. I cant possibly help someone else truly if I am not helping myself.
I have to do the things necessary to take care of myself. My business success comes from how I look at myself and how I present myself to others. I am one of those first to work last to leave kinda guys. I am also a shirt tucked in with a belt on always. How others look at me in business is up to me. Its all in the presentation. I also hope those of you who read and follow this learn the power of positive thinking and how far it can carry us through difficult times. I believe my successes dont define me its how I get through my trials and tribulations that define me. The glass is ALWAYS half full in my world. Focus on the positives and throw out the negative. Negativity is like a cancer that as it grows spreads quicker until it engulfs everything it comes in contact with.
I hope to be able to share with you how important doing things you like are in establishing your success. Success will be much longer lasting if you are engaged in something you like. You will also learn quicker and master whatever it is you are doing in a much shorter time. This is why I picked business and investing as my topic on this blog. I love business .
