Basic Business Goals

The best made plans dont ever work if you dont follow through, I am one who has always believed in making lists for myself of to dos, goals, financial issues, etc. The first item I place on my list is ..... 1. Make a list. This way if i get nothing else done I can cross off at least one thing off my list so I cant tell myself that I did nothing that day. As far as goals go I like to prioritize my goals for example, 1. Create my product or inventory. 2.Advertise and market. 3. Get customers 4. .... and so and so on. I also like goals like immediate ones like the ones I just mentioned as well as intermediate goals such as 1 yr growth, 5 yr growth, and long term goals. I make my goals realistic and attainable while remaining challenging and allowing for growth. Setting up long term marketing plans is essential in maintaining public awareness. If i advertise today its not so much for the instant gratification but for 6 months or a year from now. The longer my name is out there the longer my customers will remember my business.
